8th World Pizza Making Championship in Japan 

2023 is a significant year for Japan and for the Caputo Cup: the year of the restart of the Japanese leg of the trophy, after the pandemic.

Between tears of joy and a lot of passion, the red and white podium has now been formed and the winners will fly to Naples to participate in the final on the most beautiful seafront in the world. 

A squared March 8th in the name of the eighth World Pizza Chef Championship in Japan, in which all the contenders were honored with flowers, symbol of Women's Day, to underline the precious contribution of female hands to the progress of the art of Pizza.

Also present at the Japanese stage of the Caputo Cup were the Italian consul Marco Prencipe and the president of Monte Bussan, a prestigious company that promotes Made in Japan food. 

On the jury, in addition to Antimo Caputo, patron of the Mulino di Napoli, great names of Neapolitan pizza such as Davide Civitiello: Stg pizza champion of the XIIIth Caputo Trophy and Vincenzo Capuano, 2022 champion of Contemporary Pizza.

Also in the front row are well-known faces from Japanese white art such as Pasquale Makishima and traditional international stars such as Adolfo Marletta. 

In short, the two champions of Pizza and Stg and Classic pizza who will fly to Naples to compete for the title of best artisans in the world 2023, thanks to this pool of experts, are already rightfully among the best.
