In summer, can you help but think of the splendid coasts of Sardinia?
Let's immerse ourselves in the flavors of this splendid land by preparing a tasty, strictly gluten-free carasau bread at home with Fioreglut flours.
200g Fioreglut flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
120ml water
to taste Gluten-free flour to roll out the dough
In a bowl, mix the gluten-free flour and salt.
Add the extra virgin olive oil and water gradually, mixing with a spatula or your hands, until you obtain a soft but not sticky dough. If necessary, add a little more gluten-free flour to adjust the consistency.
Transfer the dough to a surface lightly floured with gluten-free flour and knead it with your hands for a few minutes, until it becomes elastic and smooth.
Divide the dough into 4-5 portions and shape into balls.
Roll out each ball with a rolling pin, on a lightly floured surface, until you obtain thin, almost transparent sheets. If the dough tends to stick to the rolling pin, you can cover it with cling film.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
Transfer the sheets to a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 5-6 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crunchy.
Remove the carasau bread from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking tray before breaking it into irregular pieces.
Gluten-free carasau bread is ready to be enjoyed: you can serve it as an appetizer, accompanying it with cheeses, cured meats or pâtés.
Bon appetit and happy summer!
